Play with your wardrobe - that's an ancient rule and definitely known for every each of you. Just after uploading photos to my computer I noticed that today I went for the dress up game 100 percent. The statement earring you see is just two hoop earrings combined into one, shabby edges of those Lindex denim jeans was my little diy project a while ago and the red scarf handle is also added by me to a vintage bag that was bought with no handle at all.
All these little details always help you to jazz up your daily looks and to stand out in crowd too.
Of course the highlight of this outfit is a purple long sleeve jacket purchased from Shein recently. The color is perfect, isn't it? No matter how much we all love black, it's fun sometimes to brighten up your day with some lighter shades.
So, the moral of this sunny Monday is - have fun! Also, be happy, smile a lot, laugh hard and love harder.
Happy Friday! Is just me or it came much quicker than it should have?
Today is all about comfort. It always is, but since the days are getting darker and colder, I start to look for 100% comfort in my daily looks. And that means not just choosing the right materials and avoiding complicated cuts, but eliminating colors and bright prints too. My mind gets tired of all this stuff pretty quickly and that's just how it is for me. You might feel the comfiest in a pink zebra print jumper and that's more than OK. There are days I also like to peacock a bit.
However today is not one of them and I choose to match the rainy sky and damp pavements. Although everything is not that depressing when you have a batman print on your jeans and your grey sweatshirt is the softest thing in the world. There's no exaggeration here, trust me.
Well and of course, adding a red lip and heels to your outfit instantly makes the day much better. Never forget that!
bag - Lindex, shoes - La Strada, skirt - Lindex, coat - Baur Foradori vintage

And here I'm back again, with another coat and burgundy Lindex shoulder bag, which became irreplaceable recently. I have already told you in my previous post, that one coat is just not enough for me. It is how it is and I can't do much about it (or more like I don't want to). So in order to fulfill my needs and still be able to pay my taxes, I have a browse in vintage stores from time to time. Because here how it is: one coat is your investment and the others are your entertainment.
Talking about this one, I simply couldn't leave it on a hanger. It costed me 1 euro, it's in a very good condition, it's from alpaca wool and it's a true Austrian vintage brand from 1980's. I think it's worth the cost.
It is a season of coats, obviously. And if you are about to invest in one, this dark navy coat would be my top recommendation. Why? Well the answer is more than simple. The cut, the quality and THE color. No matter how boring that sounds, if you're going for that one and only, it should be either black or navy. In this case, dark navy is above everything. Your perfect choice.
I probably couldn't live with only one coat in my closet and usually there are like four or five that I wear on daily basis. However one of those five is definitely a black one and let's be honest, I end up wearing it more than everyone thinks I am.
And while some of you might say that too many people are wearing dark colors already and it's boring, I would say it's simply beautiful and it's boring only if you make it look so. Devil is in the details, so if you need some eccentricity in life, go crazy with accessorizing! Silver boots? Oh yes. Big hat? Of course. Pink nails? Go for it! As long as you feel good, everything works.
Rena top - Audimas x Robert Kalinkin, trousers - second hand, hoop earrings - Lindex, coat - Paul Costelloe

Even though I usually end up with fairly elegant looks, you might have noticed, that there is always at least a little bit of edge in them. I mean, if there's a golden bracelet on my wrist, I'll probably be wearing white cotton tee or a pair of rocker boots, something like that. It can be the opposite too. When I see that the outfit is getting too sporty, without even noticing it, I feel a desperate need to grab a pair of heels or put bright red lipstick on. That's just how it works the best for me.
This time a black top from Audimas and Robert Kalinkin collaboration was the one piece that balanced out my extremely elegant look. I have already seen this top on a few girls, however I still couldn't resist getting it too. This top could easily be called a wardrobe staple because it just suits everything else in it! And you can't argue with me on this. Period.
coat - Fleurette vintage, trousers - Joseph Janard, camisole top - Lindex, bag - vintage, boots - La Strada, bracelet - Veimotti

Remember the gorgeous bracelet I wrote about this week? So here it is again, this time in a complete look featuring Veimotti. As the jewelry is itself, I went for a semi-classical, quite minimal look and since it feels like winter outside already, I was more than happy to take out my favorite vintage coat for a walk. When is that cold, you have to entertain yourself somehow. My way is a combination of red lips, favorite coat and in this case, a nice piece of jewelry on a wrist. Once you put them all together, the day gets better instantly.
Have a nice day you all, happy Friday!
Honestly, I can't remember when was the last time I was so happy with a new bag. This burgundy wonder is from Lindex extended collection and you have definitely spotted it on my instagram lately since I simply can't stop wearing it. Mainly because of perfectly made handle and my soft spot for this color, which is even more sensible in autumn. I mean, THE color.
Hello hello! I think I've just reach a new level of elegance here. Meet my new daily companion, a perfect fit with a watch or without - a gold-plated beauty from a lithuanian brand Veimotti It was found not a while ago, however guys are doing a great job!
What really caught my eye when I first saw their jewelry, that it is a perfect balance of true classics and modern shapes. That is also a reason why Veimotti is really versatile. It doesn't matter what age you are or what occupation you have - I'm pretty sure you will find something you love. I definitely did!
Last week I took a trip down memory lane, that's exactly what it was. It's been four months already since I moved out of Birmingham and it was actually really nice to come back for only a week just to meet everyone, walk the same streets, visit my favorite spots and have a few quality espresso shots at @javaloungeuk.
In between all the sentimental stuff I also managed to hook up with Alix Heru for a very relaxed shoot on Sunday afternoon. You might remember our previous shoot for Sticks and Stones Magazine. This time we went outside for a walk around Sutton Coldfield in Birmingham and this is what happened. I'm as a happy with the results as the last time and honestly, I wouldn't mind to collaborate with this guy again!
I'm not really that picky in life. Show me a weird shadow or a splash of light and I'll be amazed. Give me a scone of ice-cream and I'll be happy. Or.. a lovely set of lingerie and I'll love you to the moon and back!
trousers - vintage, sandals - Truffle collection, cami top - SheIn, sunglasses - SheIn
I guess everyone enjoyed that lovely sunny weekend right? Well I certainly did. Even managed to hit the seaside and have a dip, which is even more exciting in September in Lithuania.
That's what I wore on my little trip to Liepaja. It is a super simple and super casual faux suede head-to-toe look styled together with sunglasses I got from SheIn recently and my beloved sandals which you probably are tired to see in my outfit posts already. Apologies, yet I can't do much about it. These sandals are too comfy to keep them in a closet.
Well that was weekend and now it's Monday, so let's get back to work!
sandals - vintage, raincoat - Escada, white tee - Topshop, trousers - 2nd hand, watch - Daniel Wellington
So September is here and we can officially say hello to autumn! Which means that raincoat is now an essential without a doubt.
Couple of days ago I found this forgotten apricot beauty in my closet. Such splash of color is not my everyday choice but what else to do when the sky is grim all day. I'll tell you what - you become the sun yourself.
If anyone asks me how was the Copenhagen Fashion Week, I say I loved it in a second. So many great collections, such a stylish crowd around, such a cool city to be in - how could you not?
What I like the most about Scandinavian fashion is that it almost looks as if the designers' team was working under no pressure. Which is probably not true at all, but just the feeling of not making too much effort makes the atmosphere so relaxed and that is one of the main things I look up to in fashion. Simplicity is the key. Am I right?
Before the autumn comes I want to share the top SS17 collections from Copenhagen Fashion Week. There is no first or second here, I am not rating them. It's just the ones that I subjectively enjoyed the most. Hopefully you did/will too.
I will start with Fonnesbech (picture above). A brand, that has a suprisingly long history in a fashion world. It was founded in 1847 and grew from a small basement shop to an exclusive department store, to a successful brand later on, that stands for high quality, sophisticated and responsible fashion.
Classy with a twist - that is how I would describe the SS17 collection and that would also be quite an accurate description of the brand as a whole. Sun bleached color range and flexible silluethes, as well as the set of the runway and the live music, created a very relaxed atmosphere.
Every piece in it is pretty much what I would add to my pinterest board these days. Even if there was nothing unexpected, I praise Fonnesbech for giving the modern feeling while standing true to their brand. Well done, Mia Lisa Spon!
A brand that does not compromise when it comes to quality or esthetics and is far from being boring at the same time - that is Baum und Pferdgarten. The company is run by two creatives, Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehave, who established their brand in 1999 and ever since the beginning have been constantly complementing and challenging each other in creating collections filled with clashing contrasts, strong colors and memorable prints.
The SS17 collection is no different. And even if it might look chaotic at a first glance, the collection is composed from classy wardrobe staples as well as avant-garde pieces for the client who is looking for a bit more quirkiness in her life. Pajama suits, one of the main trends in CPHFW, included.
In the set like this, anything would look perfect. Being in a lush garden behind Glyptoteket, created a feeling of a midsummer dream. However I am not saying that Lovechild 1979 SS17 collection was "anything" - not at all. The brand lived up to the name and presented a high level of quality line, full of florals, soft pastels, silky suits and dresses.
The collection was one of the few that didn't give the 90's feeling and even though I am a fan of the decade, it was nice to see something different. Accented waists, knee-lenght skirts and scarfs around the neck gave the girls a classy, dressy look bringing the viewer back to the 1950's. In addition to this, Anne-Dorthe Larsen managed to show an image of a strong confident women, fitting in today's society perfectly, while still being an elegant and sensitive creature. How's that possible? Well take a look at the collection, I am pretty sure you'll see what I mean.
Oh how much I love this city. Copenhagen streets are definitely one of the most beautiful to wander.
When a few fashion week events are in your schedule, you obviously think about what you're going to wear. I took an easy road here. Couple of days before my flight I went to STUDIO KAROLINA's studio and basically robbed it. Which I don't regret at all, every piece I wore got tons of compliments and definitely helped me to stand out in the crowd. So THANK YOU Karolina and go go go girl! There are lots of talented lithuanians out there but for me personally, STUDIO KAROLINA is one of the brands that really stands out and since she is still very young, I think she could and should do a lot in perspective.
And since this post has become a thank you post, I would also like to thank my friend Viktorija for being a wonderful host! And a great photographer, too #filmisnotdead
If you follow my Instagram, you obviously know what I've been doing last week. It was hard to miss such thing. If you not (although you know you should), oh well, keep on reading. I've been attending Copenhagen Fashion Week shows and events and now, since I'm back home, I'm going to post series of posts about it.
So, here is the very first part of my three days in Copenhagen.
I started out the fashion week by attending breakfast at Tommy Hilfiger showroom. After an early 7AM flight, that was a great kick putting me in a fashion week mood. Coffee, tasty breakfast snacks, stylish people and pretty clothes around - who would refuse a chance to start a day like that?
Coats are definitely my thing and raincoats.. Well I love them even more! I think that's one of the reasons why I'm not complaining about this autumn-like summer so much. Stop whining, put on a beautiful raincoat instead - you'll get that tan next year.
This grey beauty is from new Lithuanian brand Dear Freedom and there's no better feeling than supporting local talents, especially when they do it so right. Check out their page HERE, summer sale is on too!
I don't work in the office and even though I'm not jealous of 9 to 5 work inside, god how jealous I am for all the opportunities to become an office diva. If you wear the same little jacket all year long - well, that's mainly your problem. In my eyes, office outfits can and should be eye-catching, trendy and on top of that - super elegant.
There's no need to experiment with colors if you are not a fan of brightness in everyday life. Try different cuts, constructions instead or simply choose a more extravagant accessory.
stylewe.com is my new discovery and most of the garments above are from this site. Check it out, you might find something you like too!
There are those days when you don't want any unnecessary details or heavy layering and you can clearly see that today was one of them. It's not even that situation when you can't find anything suitable in your wardrobe. You just don't want anything at least a little bit complicated on your body.
And that is OK. Seriously, that's perfectly fine, as long as you feel good.
Today I felt like my very best in those cropped denim jeans, velvet jumper, oval shoulder bag and basic sandal heels.
Tomorrow I might take out my neon pink coat of my closet. Who knows! Let's see where the day will bring us.
I promised you that my next outfit post will be featuring more stuff I purchased from Zaful online shop and here it is!
I'm really happy with this swimsuit actually. Of course it's not the best choice if you're going to sunbath all day long but since I'm not much of a sunbather anyway..
my thoughts on affordable online shopping in the previous post HERE
When you don't want to wear a bra but you feel like you kind of have to..
Especially in summer, I get this feeling quite often. So it's not very surprising that it's a second similar bra from Lindex.
Lace looks perfect with the striped elastic under the bust. Imagine this bra under a sheer white shirt. Together with cropped jeans, classic loafers and my latest vintage catch you see in a pic above, it is going to be my new summer uniform.
sunglasses - Zaful, clutch - Bally, trousers - second hand, top - & other stories, watch - Daniel Wellington
a hooligan, with high-heeled sandals on because that's how very elegant hooligans do it. these sunglasses, which I purchased from ZAFUL online shop recently, put me in such mood, actually.
normally I try to stay away from cheap online shops. of course, they offer you exceptional value, but quality is always doubtful. however people from zaful.com contacted me at a very sensitive timing. all my sunglasses were either broken or lost, so I thought it's worth trying maybe.
few minutes later I've already chosen a pair of these golden frame aviator sunglasses as well as a pair of different style aviators and an awesome white swimsuit which you're going to see in my next outfit post.
shipping didn't take long, I was pleasantly surprised that even though products come from China, I've waited just for 10 days until the parcel was in my hands.
to sump up with, my experience with zaful.com was quite satisfying. sunglasses don't seem to last me for long, however you can't ask that much when you pay just a few dollars for a pair of aviators. and hey, I look pretty cool, right?
